In most medical tourism companies throughout the world, it is customary to contract with providers that pay referral commissions of between 6% and 20% of the revenues generated by services booked on your behalf.
Without a doubt, this often influences where your employees are sent, for how long they remain there, and to which surgeons and consulting specialists they are directed. While that's not customary in U.S. healthcare where we have fee-splitting and anti-kickback regulations, most medical tourism companies in America don't seem to believe they are obliged to compliance with these regulations and prohibitions.
At Mercury Health Travel, you'll receive unbiased guidance and advice without influence of commissions or gratuities paid by providers or suppliers.
On your request, we will suggest a short list of providers that we feel will most appropriately meet your needs, but we do not accept commission payments or other favours and gratuities for referrals to healthcare providers or other suppliers. We maintain a policy of absolute transparency. You see the actual quote from providers and suppliers for the services you require. We audit the bills for accuracy against the medical records. Clinical services, destination management, ground transportation and any other support services are engaged on the basis of a written purchase order. As for our services, we charge a modest logistics and case management fee paid by the client for services rendered. This ensures our commitment to unbiased guidance and advice, and is consistent with written, rigid anti-touting policies enforced company-wide, and extending to our suppliers.
If you prefer to use a provider with whom you already have an established relationship, it would be our pleasure to coordinate all your logistical details as your concierge.
